hello, friend!
what you’ll get
miranym covers random lifestyle stuff from curating closets to restaurant reviews; from mental health to travel guides—all written with the intention of helping you live consciously + simply.
- You’ll learn how to get the most value out of your investment (time + energy + spending)
- I speak truthfully about my experiences, and recommend things that actually worked for me
- Everything is paid for by me. Even if it gets to the point where publicists start courting me (again), #2 stays true.
miranym defined
I know what you’re thinking: WTF is a miranym?
According to Thought Co it’s an esoteric language-related term that’s midway in meaning between two extremes. For example, translucent falls between transparent and opaque.
That’s precisely what I strive to achieve with this blog, to offer you a good balance between living consciously but with low maintenance effort.
I believe you don’t need to have lots of money, extra time on your hands, or be born into a wide network to live a good life (though it certainly can’t hurt!)
the background
More than a decade ago, a friend encouraged me to start blogging.
I did it with the intention of getting into the fashion industry. But after many years, the scene shifted to Instagram influencers, and fashion wasn’t fulfilling me anymore.
But letting go wasn’t easy, would people still think less of me? It took a long time to let go of the image of being associated with fashion, but I managed to call it quits.
“All change, even the most longed for, have their melancholy, for what we leave behind us is a part of ourselves; we must die to one life before we enter into another.”
– ANATOLE FRANCE
Fast forward again a few years, I finally got my sh*t together so here’s my reincarnated blog, miranym. It’s everything I wanted to write about, but didn’t have the guts to incorporate into my original blog.
I know what you’re thinking, why blog again when people are just on Instagram and TikTok?
Because I’m one of those people who (unfortunately?) needs to write.
“If you bring forth what is within you, what you bring forth will save you. If you do not bring forth what is within you, what you do not bring forth will destroy you. ”
– gospel of thomas
I’m certainly not a religious person, but I hope this blog inspires you to bring forth what’s within you too.
xo, Miranda
